How do I get around Singapore? And from Changi Airport to Advanced Medicine Biopolis?
To take a taxi or a public bus/train, all you need is your VISA or MASTER card for payment.
You can take the Mass Rapid Transit from Changi Airport to Buona Vista MRT ( direct train).
Alternatively, you can hire a taxi or a private car. ( Download the Grab application on your smartphone )
Travelling checklist
Here is a handy checklist of important documents and items to bring with you when travelling to our hospitals for medical treatment.
- Doctor’s referral letter, images in DICOM, past treatment history
- Identity document
- Letter of guarantee from your insurance company, if using your insurance
- Local currency (Singapore dollars) or credit card for transactions
Do I need a visa to enter Singapore for medical reason?
Most of our current patients are from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam or Australia etc, entry is visa-free.

To extend your short-term visa pass, you can do it online with the medical memo we will provide to you.

Download an app from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority. With a valid medical memo, you can stay in Singapore beyond 3 months, and if need, ongoing extension will be given via online application.
We are an ambulatory diagnostic and treatment facility. Most of our patients are medically stable and receive radiotherapy and chemotherapy as outpatient. For services requiring hospitalisation, we are affiliated with Raffles Hospital and Icon Cancer Cancer at Mount Alvernia Hospital.

Accomodation and connectivity
How to get smartphone data and WIFI?
Sim card and communications: most businesses and residents use Whatsapp. Buy a local sim card from any convenience store.
WIFI: Alternatively, download Wireless@SG and enjoy free wifi at hotspots.
Google maps work very well for getting around.
Payment for food and shopping is mainly done with your credit card, or QR code payment with Alipay, Google Pay or bank Paynow. But older establishments may only accept cash.
What hotels are available near Biopolis?
Short stays of less than 3 months are not allowed for private apartment rentals. (Airbnb, co-living etc)
For stays shorter than 3 months, you can opt for serviced residences or hotels.
4-star hotels are available near Biopolis (costing about $200 SGD a night)
